The Santa Fe New Mexican, May 3, 2024
David Ballantyne Curtis, the late husband of Santa Fe School of Cooking founder Susan Curtis, loved jazz. And in his memory, the venue occasionally transforms itself into a jazz club named Dave’s Jazz Bistro.
May brings a Mexican food fiesta, as Dave’s Bistro hosts a Cinco de Mayo Jazz Celebration with Jay Heneghan. Heneghan is a classically trained pianist who plays blues and jazz, and she’s the front woman for The Jay Heneghan Project and JJ and the Hooligans, a Santa Fe-based dance band. She’ll play with the John Rangel Trio for her Cinco de Mayo performance.
